A list of our services follows with a brief description of each: Screen Printing Double K Kreations' screen printing technology is used to print everything from t-shirts, sweats, jackets, and other promotional items. Screen printing is most valued for its ability to print on a wide variety of materials. Each color requires a screen. A frame is covered with screen material, and a stencil is created in an emulsion coating on the screen. Solid areas in the stencil block the ink from getting through the screen, while open areas in the stencil allow the ink to flow through. The ink is forced through the screen using a squeegee onto the surface of the garment or product. The print is then cured. The curing process is where the ink is made to bond to the surface of the printed object using heat, air, or UV radiation depending on the composition of the ink being used. After curing the product is ready to be used or displayed. Screen printing remains the decorating choice for inexpensive promotional garments such as t-shirts and sportswear due to its bright colors and cost effective application. Numerous special effect inks are also available such as: glitter, gels, puff ink, suede ink, foil, and simulated textures (rock, leather, etc.). Double K Kreations uses professional quality automated screen printing equipment to create consistent quality in high volume orders that keep the detail, bright colors, and edge quality to designs. Digital Printing Double K Kreations is one of very few printers in the country that has a leading edge, digital, direct-to-garment Kornit printer. Digital printing is a process very similar to a desktop inkjet printer that prints on paper except with printing on garments the variables are greater. The advantage of the Digital printing process is that there are no screens needed so setup is less costly. Shirts are imaged directly onto the garment so there is a faster turnaround within the production dept. Thought this process is ideal for shorter run orders, the Kornit machine is capable of larger production runs with consistency. An additional advantage to this technology is that Dark Shirts can be printed digitally as well with no additional production preparation other than some art manipulation. This technology allows for quick sampling of shirt concepts and previously impossible graphic detail to be quickly achieved on short run, personalized apparel items with a minimal setup and low minimums. Embroidery Double K Kreations offers high quality embroidery for a classy, business-look to apparel and promotional items. Embroidery continues to be the popular choice for higher cost apparel items and sports equipment that may have curing sensitive material. Each design for embroidery is first "sewn out" on a sample swatch of fabric to display the design and show its conversion to stitching and maintain image clarity.
